C'est ce soir que se tiendra la 58e cérémonie des Grammy Awards, et Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift et The Weeknd pourraient en repartir les bras pleins de trophées. Le premier cumule onze nominations, dont deux en collaboration avec Taylor Swift, tandis que cette dernière et The Weeknd en ont chacun décroché sept. Adele, dont le single "Hello" et l'album "25" sont sortis bien après la date limite, devra attendre les Grammy 2017 pour espérer un trophée.
Taylor Swift peut se targuer d'être nommée dans les trois catégories reines de la cérémonie : album de l'année pour "1989", chanson de l'année et enregistrement de l'année pour son titre "Blank Space". Le Grammy de chanson de l'année récompense les auteurs et compositeurs d'un titre tandis que celui de l'enregistrement de l'année prend en compte le produit fini et est remis à l'artiste.
Dans la catégorie album de l'année, Taylor Swift est confrontée au groupe Alabama Shakes, à Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd et au chanteur country Chris Stapleton tandis que la chanson de l'année se jouera entre la star et son ami Ed Sheeran pour "Thinking Out Loud", "Alright" de Kendrick Lamar, "See You Again" de Wiz Khalifa et Charlie Puth et "Girl Crush" du trio country Little Big Town.
